Amazon Affiliate Store Keyword Tracking

amazon tracking 125x125 Amazon Affiliate Store Keyword Tracking

In a previous post I wrote about recently buying some Amazon Affiliate (or Associate, as they call it) stores to play with. Since then I’ve built one more and have been working on PPC campaigns for the sites. And I quickly hit yet another problem – Amazon’s tracking absolutely sucks. Actually, its absolutely non-existent. There is no way to pass subids from your site to Amazon so you can tell which keywords in your Adwords or other PPC campaign are converting, ie generating sales. Driving traffic blind like that you are guaranteed to be wasting money on non-converting keywords, instead of pushing more traffic to the converting ones. Not a situation any self-respecting affiliate marketer would want to be found in.

Well, just as I hit this little hurdle my friend and fellow affiliate marketer Net-Entrepreneur emailed me with a solution. He’s come up with a simple step-by-step method to add subid click tracking for Amazon Affiliates at the keyword level and then laid it all out to help out fellow AM’ers.

So if you’ve found yourself in the above situation, head on over to Niche Fever and grab his report and the other resources it comes with. Without it you’re most certainly leaving money on the table! And don’t worry, there’s really not much more to it then some copy-and-pasting, and you’ll be pretty much walked through the method by the hand.

Last, but not least – reader’s of this blog get a 10% discount, just use coupon code muaffiliate10 and you’re good to go. Enjoy and make some money!

  3. Dan,

The servers are down for about one hour.

I hate hosting providers, they do maintenance for two hours thinking it’s night-time all around the world… 8O

  4. Alex, I hope you’re not using that host for your tracking! ;)

Dan, apologies for the delay, all good to go now.

  5. Hehe… Their uptime is very good, usually.

  6. Buying or shopping online has become secure. Some examples of online stores are Amazon and Ebay. There are also stores that offer Amazon items for a discounted price.

  7. I strongly recommend Amazon Associates Store-Apparel & Accessories for the Online Shopping for Watches & Accessories

  8. Yes I strongly support that Amazon.com is very safe and very convenient for the Online Shopping for Watches and Jewelry

  9. I still can’t think of way to know who clicked on my ads when they bought. Amazon does not have user analytics or did I miss something?

  13. Hey thanks so much for this post. I do some affiliate marketing and know the value of tracking keywords. I am just about to start a new project using amazon (my first with amazon) and didnt know they made it difficult to track sub ids so this post is very timely. Thank-you so much for the info, I look forward to checking out niche fever.

  14. I tried making money with Amazon a couple of years ago and did not have any real success, always done better with Adsense and Clickbank … and it does help that they have better tracking …

  15. Amazon is a very credible online source of any products you may want to purchase, and added with this feature, it’s really very secure to purchase and sell through Amazon. :)
